The Schulmusem in Maria Taferl, which can be found on the first floor of the Municipal Office, brings to life the past of atmosphere of a typical country school as it would have been experienced by our grandparents and their parents. The majority of the exhibits date from 1880 to 1950 and include desks, benches, slates, calculators, clogs and blackboards. There are lots of examples of teaching aids, including lots of stuffed animals and birds, and work by pupils and a fine locally made school clock which dates from 1910. Just to round things off there is an antique spittoon.
