Seven generations of the same family have owned and occupied the house next to the Maria Taferl basilica since 1750 and have been producing brandy and liqueurs here since 1755. The award winning drinks, famous throughout Austria, are made with local fruit and berries without any additives. The present owners, Maria und Christian Schüller, not only distil some of the best schnapps but also make a huge range of fruit preserves. The distillery has a shop, guest house and café, with a garden overlooking the famous basilica.
