The Association for the Research and Documentation of the Work of Oskar Kokoschka was founded in1973 under the patronage of Oskar and Olda Kokoschka in the birth place of the artist in Pöchlarn. The Association’s purpose is to document the famous artist’s life and present exhibitions illustrating his art and development. The house was purchased in 1998 by the municipality of Pöchlarn and converted in the following years into a modern, state of the art gallery and cultural centre. In addition to the art exhibitions there are frequent intimate musical concerts.
