The little Minoritenkirche is a lovely Rococo building built by Johann Krimmer which was finished in 1758 and incorporates parts of a 13th century monastery. The interior is decorated with white, yellow and pink stucco by the artist Kaspar Modler. There is a magnificent high altar above which is Bartolomeo Altomonte’s painting of the Annunciation. There are four paintings by Martin Johann Schmidt, also known as Kremser Schmidt , celebrating the mystical gifts of the Franciscans including a tribute the obscure saint Joseph of Copertino who was particularly gifted at levitation.
