The beautiful Schloss Haindorf is known to have existed as long ago as 1387 when it was referred to as the seat of Feldmühle. It has been subjected to a number of architectural changes over the intervening centuries but its appearance nowadays is largely Baroque in character, even down to the clock tower with its elaborate spire. In 1973, the Lower Austria Master Builders Federation acquired the building in a rather dilapidated condition and now operates it as a training centre. The actual building academy is housed in a startling modern building behind the main castle. In summer, there are frequent chamber concerts and a music festival held here.
