This small museum was the former residence of Josef Haydn, the 18th century classical composer. Having lived here, on and off, from 1766 to 1788, this is now one of the most comprehensive collections conveying the life and work of, whom some consider to be, the "Father of the Symphony". The permanent exhibits include a Hammerflügel grand piano from 1780 and the organ console from the Bergkirche. Special exhibitions are held annually which spotlight the work of Haydn as well as other composers.
