The mountain farm house, "Hausstein", was first documented in 1449. It can be found on the forest trail from Frankenfels towards the Taubenbachklamm and since 1989 it has been a museum dedicated to mountain farming. More than two thousand exhibits showing aspects of local handicrafts, household objects and aspects of agriculture are to be found in a four hundred square metre exhibition space. You can also sample and purchase lots of local produce; farmer’s bread, sheep’s cheese, cider and spirits. There is a farm zoo where children can meet and stroke the animals.
