Since Celtic times, the lower Traisen valley has been a wine producing area, the oldest in Austria. In the Kellergasse you can learn about the history of wine growing and also discover all about the technology and production processes which are employed by local wine producers. Over fifty wine taverns in the area serve the local types of wine, the most famous of which is white Gruener Veltliner. There are also plenty of delicious red wines to choose from. Naturally, the taverns also serve food which can be enjoyed in the delightful establishments.
