The Heimat Museum, next to the church, is housed in a former forge built in the second half of the 16th century. The Bachschmiede is home to the contemporary cultural and community activities of the Wals-Siezenheim municipality and is a combination of a museum and meeting place. The special attraction of the museum is the working forge but there are also exhibitions devoted to many aspects of local history; agricultural history, farm implements, local crafts, culture and customs, military history, the fire brigade and local legends.
