This museum was the private apartment and office of Dr. Sigmund Freud, the founder of the Psychoanalytical Society, from 1891 to 1938 until, following the Anschluss, he fled with his family to London. Exhibits include the original furniture from his waiting room, Freud’s collection of antiques and some of his personal belongings. There are also photographs, Freud-inspired art and a library. The media room contains a few existing original film and sound recordings of Sigmund Freud and his family from the 1930’s.
