The Stöckl farm, lies in the middle of a wonderful beech forest on the outskirts of Ybbsitz. The farm has traditionally been the site of a distillery which produces schnapps of the highest quality. The owners take pride in the fact that the fruit which is used to manufacture the liquor is harvested by hand from their own plantation of three hundred fruit trees which are protected from frost and wind by the surrounding forest. Quite rightly, the schnapps has been awarded numerous honours and can be purchased direct from the farm as can other fine rural produce.
