Rockhouse, in contrast to Salzburg’s more traditional cultural venues, presents a program of jazz, pop, folk, blues, heavy metal, punk, cross-over, underground, contemporary and avant-garde music mainly aimed at the younger generation. Since the opening in 1993, there have been an average of 200 events presented to 100,000 people held here. In addition to the event facilities, which include a large workshop room and specially designed rehearsal rooms, Rockhouse has its own bar and restaurant. Special care has been taken to make sure that the whole venue is accessible to the disabled.
