The Rax Alpengarten is about 100 meters below the Ottohaus on the Raxplateau at around 1500 metres above sea level. The garden occupies four thousand square metres of alpine meadow and contains examples of over two hundred alpine flowers and plants native to the area. It is here that you can see rare and protected species such as the Edelweiss growing wild and in profusion. Even if you are not particularly interested in the flora you should not miss a visit to this beautiful and spectacular location.
