The Wallfahrtskirche Maria Moos is built on the site of the oldest sacred well in Lower Austria and was originally constructed in 1160 for the Kuenringer family. The building was originally Romanesque in character but was later remodelled in Gothic style and, much later still, was embellished with Baroque features. The church has two works by Paul Troger; an altarpiece of the Assumption and another work for a side altar depicting Saint Anne. There are prominent works by other famous artists such as Ferdinand Kainz and Jakob Schletterer to be found in the church’s interior.
