The collections of the Heimatmuseum in Weißenkirchen an der Perschling are dedicated to local history from the earliest times to the present. There are prehistoric finds and Roman graves from the 4th century AD but predominantly the exhibits illustrate rural working practises and crafts such as upholstery, book binding, shoemaking, carpentry, baking and hospitality. Relating to rural life there are lots of items of furniture and everyday objects and reconstructions of living quarters and businesses such as a post office and stable. To bring things more up-to-date, there are plenty of items from the last century including mementos of the First and Second World Wars.
