This former apartment of Beethoven’s is now a museum. Living here on and off between 1804 and 1814, it is known that the composer, amongst other works, completed his Fourth, Fifth, and Seventh Symphonies here, as well as the opera ‘Fidelio’. Climb the stairs to the fourth floor residence, owned by Johann von Pasqualati, and you will discover family portraits and mementoes, including the composer’s scores. Visitors can also listen to a variety of his music on headphones.
