The Alter Pfarrhof is one of Ybbs’ most outstanding and oldest buildings. It dates back to the 15th century and, as a result of frequent remodelling over the centuries, reflects the architectural past of the city. Although it was once a parsonage it has had other uses, for example as a hotel in the 18th century. The late Baroque facade, dating from the most prosperous times for Ybbs, is outstandingly beautiful as is its enclosed Renaissance courtyard, a characteristic feature of houses in this part of Ybbs.
