Wolfpassing has a well preserved statue of St. John of Nepomuk which is similar to that of Steinakirchen. The saint was thrown into the river Vltava from Charles Bridge in Prague in 1393 at the behest of King Wenceslaus after suffering torture. He was canonised and is the patron of confessional secrets and protector against floods. The life sized status in Wolfpassing is outstanding from an artistic point of view and its design and construction are typical of the late Baroque.
