The Salzburg Museum of Modern Art is housed in two separate locations. The first is the Museum der Moderne Rupertinum which is housed in a building originally dating back to 1350, though not completed until the 17th century, and subsequently used as a seminary until the late 20th century. The collections are dedicated to painting, sculpture, graphics and photography with the focus on the art of the 20th century and the image of the human form. Considerable exhibition space is dedicated to art between the wars, in particular Austrian and international contemporary art since the end of the 2nd World War.
