The ’Puppenträume- und Bärenmuseum’, which is housed in 100 year old premises on the north edge of the city, was opened in 1996. The founder of the museum, Monika Parzer, is a collector of modern dolls and has more than 600 on display. The exhibits are arranged to reflect the day to day activities of children; children on the street, at kindergarten, in school and in the playground. Remarkably, the museum has over 400 Steiff teddy bears in its collection. There is also a museum shop containing dolls, bears, doll’s houses, furniture, doll’s prams and much more.
