Tulln’s city and district museum can be found in the former Minorite monastery. The museum has sections dealing with archaeology, local history, handicrafts, fire fighting, industry and technology. Since 1998 part of the ground floor of the building has been devoted to art exhibitions and the annual exhibitions feature works by great artists such as Egon Schiele, Alfons Walde, Albin Egger-Lienz or Friedensreich Hundertwasser. Shiele of course because he was a native of Tulln.
