Founded by the Carmelite Friars towards the end of the 14th century this church is somewhat of a mis-match of styles because of some later crude embellishments. The church was the site of the cessation of the Holy Roman Empire, proclaimed from its balcony, on 6th August 1806, by the Austrian Emperor Franz I on the orders of Napoleon. Contained within the Baroque façade is the beautiful Maulbertsch fresco. Dedicated to the Nine Choirs of the Angels the church now serves as parish for the Croatian community.
