FC Red Bull Salzburg is an Austrian premier division football club based at the Wals Siezenheim Stadium on the outskirts of Salzburg. The original club, SV Austria Salzburg was founded in 1933 by an amalgamation of "Hertha Salzburg" and "Rapid Salzburg". Since that time the club has moved from the Lehener Stadium to the Wals Siezenheim Stadium, which will host games for the 2008 European Cup. The stadium has capacity for over 18000 football fans and houses leisure facilities such as a gymnasium, playground and restaurants.
