The elegant Mariensäule column, with a figure of the Virgin Mary on top, was erected in the Minoritenplatz Square in front of the church in 1660 and was renovated in 1748. In 1843 it was demolished due to its state of disrepair but was subsequently re-erected in the square opposite the church (at the start of what is now the Adlerstrasse) at the expense of the suburban parish church, but against the will of the town parish.
