Hundreds of live, tropical butterflies can be seen here, fluttering next to you as you walk around. Housed in the magnificent ‘Jugendstil’ greenhouse in the Burggarten. As well as the 27°C temperature 80% humidity, a waterfall, small pond and bridges add to the effect of wandering through a tropical paradise. See the magnificent Atlas butterfly and its 11 inch wingspan along with 150 other species; about 400 individual butterflies can bee seen at any one time. Information boards chart the life-cycle of the butterfly and the abundance of the beautiful creatures make for some great photo opportunities.
