The exhibits in Vösendorf’s Fahrradmuseum are divided into four groups; the development of the bicycle, cycle technology, cycle racing and cycling culture. The earliest machine in the museum is a rare 1820 push bike manufactured by the Burg company of Vienna. There are examples of cycles from throughout the 19th century up to about 1970, including unusual solid tired velocipedes by other Viennese manufacturers. The technology section shows how cycle drive systems have changed over the decades with examples of machines from all over the world. The cycle racing department is particularly extensive and has a great number of interesting historic bikes.
