Established in 1998, this cultural centre houses exhibitions on Schönberg’s life and work; composing, painting, teaching, theorising and innovating. The comprehensive experience comprises of a gallery, a library, concerts, lectures, workshops and symposia, enabling visitors to more fully understand the man’s contributions to music and the arts. The ‘father of atonal music’ fled to Los Angeles in 1930 and the reconstruction of his studio contains many original pieces of furniture and items, designed by himself, from recycled materials.
