A few minutes drive from Lunz is the Töpperbrücke which bridges the river Ybbs near to the site of a former hydraulically powered iron rolling mill. The mill was the property of Andreas Töpper of Neubruck bei Scheibbs and it was he who had the bridge built. Although fairly unremarkable in itself, the bridge is decorated with a number of life sized statues; Empress Helena, St. Andreas, St. Johann Nepomuk and St. Florian. These were made from cast iron in Mariazell but after a disastrous storm which destroyed the original bridge in 1861, the holy figures were replaced with new statues made in Blansko, Moravia.
