The beautiful Kirche Totzenbach is a Gothic church, dating from the 14th century, which is dedicated to All Saints. The building has the classic Gothic form of a nave with two transepts. In 1683, during the Turkish invasion, the church was severely damaged and partially rebuilt with some Baroque features. Fortunately the windows, which date from the 14th and 15th centuries, and the Gothic vaulting at the crossing, survived. Further additions came in the 18th century with the addition of the sacristy and, in 1756, a new tower, equipped with the clock from the castle. A large amount of renovation work took place in the 20th both internally and externally, making this one of the area’s best preserved Gothic churches.
