Completed in 2000 and replacing the original Tivoli stadium, Tivoli Neu has been designed as a multi-use stadium. Used mostly for football it is the home ground of FC Wacker Tirol, although it does serve as a venue for other major sporting occasions like American Football and events such as concerts. Built to hold a capacity crowd of 17,400, the 2008 European Football Championship will see it used an official venue and expanded to hold 30,000 fans along with the inclusion of sports stores and fitness centres.
