The Klangraum, housed in the former 13th century Minoritenkirche, serves as a platform for contemporary and historic music. The church was secularised in the 18th century and has since served as a tobacco warehouse, fire brigade depot and arts exhibition space. In 2004 the church was reconditioned and adapted for the performance of a broad spectrum of music, from the mediaeval to experimental sound art. There are frequent visits by international artists in such fields as dance, new music, jazz and musical improvisation. The Klangraum also hosts events for the Donaufestival and its own festivals in the Spring and Autumn.
