The Ostarrichi-Kulturhof is a cultural centre for Lower Austria based in the historic town of Neuhofen/Ybbs. The centre derives its name from a document written by Emperor Otto II in 996 when the area was first referred to as Ostarrichi. Not only does the establishment foster the development of art in Austria but also has a much wider remit and aims to become an international centre for the arts and thereby enrich local culture. The centre hosts concerts, exhibitions and other cultural events. There is special emphasis on the involvement of children and young adults.
