The Kloster UND, the foundations of which date from the early 17th century, was built by the architect Domenico Sciassia, and completed in its present form in 1659. The magnificent fresco in the monastery dome was painted in 1756 by Daniel Gran. In 1796, the monastery was dissolved by decree and became a military hospital. By the end of the 19th century the building had passed into private hands and it wasn’t until 1986 that it was renovated and became the home of a wine school. Further extensions and renovations took place in 2002. Today visitors can experience the enjoyment of food and wine in a setting rich with history and background.
