The Felberturmmuseum, which opened in 1969, is based around a 12th century tower and is dedicated to local history, in particular rural handicrafts, popular culture and customs. It houses the most comprehensive folk collection in the whole of Land Salzburg. There are interesting exhibits of geological finds from the Tauern National Park which include rocks and minerals. In addition, the museum has a section devoted to the history of the fire brigade, reconstruction of a 19th century classroom and some typical local buildings from as early as the 17th century.
