Klosterneuburg’s Feuerwehrmuseum contains a lovingly maintained collection of objects associated with the history of the city’s fire brigade. The most interesting item to be seen here is the last working steam pump in Eastern Austria but there are many other interesting exhibits, for example the collection of fire man’s helmets from the beginnings of the brigade, through the World Wars to the present. There are also horse powered fire appliances, water carriers and a horse drawn pump plus lots of photographs and supporting documentation.
