The parsonage in Mistelbach, containing a library and chapel, was formerly the part of a Barnabite monastery and ranks amongst the architectural treasures of Lower Austria. The chapel’s wall paintings are by Rossaforte in the main although the centre piece, showing a representation of wisdom, was painted in 1750 by Ferdinand Kainz. The first floor library has allegorical ceiling frescos by Franz Anton Maulpertsch with contributions from Johann Angst, Andreas Brugger and Johann Bergl, dating from 1760. The work desks are fashioned from oak.
