The Hauervinothek is a showcase and sales outlet for local wines. The establishment is housed in the 12th century Heiligenkreuzerhof with its St. Magdalenekapelle, the oldest extant bathing houses in Baden. The buildings of the refectory of the former Cistercian monastery were bought by the city in 1811 and reconditioned in 1994. The building is used at present by the Badener Hauerkollegium for the presentation and the sales of over one hundred varieties of wines, including the local spicy white wine and numerous full bodied reds.
