The Weinlandmuseum Asparn an der Zaya is housed in the refectory of the former Minorite Monastery built in 1632. The building is a striking example of Baroque architecture with a magnificent hall and beautiful frescos. The museum tells of the history, culture and art of the Weinviertel with sections devoted to rural economy, agriculture, handicrafts, trade, clubs and societies and jurisdiction. There is a unique exhibition of 18th century headboards from the crypt of the castle chapel and there is also a display devoted to regional fortifications.
