The impressive Wienertor is the largest mediaeval town gate in the whole of Europe. The lower part dates from the first half of the 13th century while the upper part was added by Ottokar in 1267/1268. The 20 metre high Romanesque structure has some interesting sculptures of knightly figures on the inner side. Today the building houses the local history museum which contains a comprehensive archaeological collection as well as an interesting collection dedicated to the local tobacco industry.
