The Annaberg Kreuzweg, created by Professor Sepp Gamsjäger, is the first representation of the Way of the Cross using the monotype technique. The technique makes use of paintings on glass which are transferred onto paper using pressure, which merges and distorts the lines of the images, before they dry. The originals monotypes were reproduced in enamel and can be seen on a part of the “Via Sacra”, a pilgrim route running from Vienna to Mariazell, leading to the parish church of Annaberg.
