This 2km underground amusement ride is a great family activity, particularly for those with young kids. The miniature railway is housed in the Schlossberg tunnel system which was constructed in the Second Word War as an air raid shelter for the people of Graz. Called the Märchengrottenbahn (Fairytale Grotto Line) it is the longest grotto railway in Europe and winds its way past beautifully lit scenes from fairy tales and historic events. An enchanting diversion for bored children.
