Schloss Weyer dates originally from the 15th century and passed through the hands of many owners over the centuries until it was revitalised as a cultural centre and gallery. Besides the wonderful Gothic and Renaissance architecture the prime attractions of the castle, to art connoisseurs, are the collections of silver wear and porcelain. A large exhibition of beautiful and rare Meissener porcelain shows its development from the year 1710 with special reference to the collections of the Austrian Emperors.
