The unique Museum für Historische Sanitärobjekte has more than 300 items of sanitary wear on display. It is housed in a 16th century building, the Pepöckhaus, which was at one time a domestic residence, barracks and abattoir. Many of the pieces are complex and richly decorated and belonged to illustrious owners. One such piece is the bidet formerly belonging to the Empress Elizabeth. There are other more prosaic items such as tin baths, water jugs and chamber pots. The collection is rounded off by items from China and japan.
