The Rosarium is situated in the Doblhoff-Park, named after the last aristocratic owners, an area of over eight hectares. The beautiful lake was used in the 19th century as a bathing pool, in the morning for ladies and in the evening for men. The present rose park was created by Viktor Moedlhammer who took advantage of the Federal Governments grants of plants. As a result of his endeavours, Baden’s rose garden is known all over the world. The garden features over twenty thousand rose plants representing six hundred varieties.
