The Ansfelden Pfarrhof was built, between 1696 and 1707, by Carlo Antonio Carlone for Matthäus von Weißenberg, who was appointed parson in 1689. The Baroque master builder created a splendid building which is one of the most beautiful in Ansfelden. Inside, on the first floor, there is a magnificent Baroque hall, used frequently for concerts and other cultural events, with outstanding stucco work. The Pfarrhof also contains the parish registers including the most famous entry recording the baptism of Anton Bruckner on the 24th.September 1824. The parsonage also serves as a community and religious focal point.
