The parsonage at Aggsbach Markt stands next to the lovely Romanesque parish church of Maria Himmelfahrt. It is reached through an attractive Baroque arched passage way between the church yard and the parsonage garden. The impressive Baroque building is a powerful reminder of the wealth of the parish and dates from 1726 when the master builder Jakob Prandtauer laid the foundation stone. The front and roof of the parsonage were renovated in a historically sympathetic way in 2004.
