The Pfarrkirche of Ansfelden is dedicated to St. Valentin. It is predominantly a Baroque church but contains traces of much earlier Romanesque and Gothic structures. The church was extensively renovated towards the end of the 19th century and between 1970 and 1980. The high altar originated in Gmunden and was created by Joseph Unterberger. Above it is a magnificent painting of St. Florian, by Anton Hamodin, depicting him as the patron saint of epileptics. There are many other noteworthy paintings and sculptures, for example, the 19th century paintings of the stations of the cross by Joseph Stanzl.
