The landscape of the Blockheide-Eibenstein nature park is characterised by mysterious granite blocks, birch trees, heath land and ponds. Unique natural monuments, with strange names such as the Devil’s Bread Loaf, formed by nature from granite are scattered over the park. The most famous of these is the strange Wackelsteine, a huge rock which was shaped by erosion and now rests on such a small contact area that it can easily be rocked from side to side. Adjacent to the Wackelsteine there is a tall observation tower which gives excellent views of the surrounding landscape.
