The strikingly beautiful monastery church, overlooking the Danube, is dominated by its beautiful Baroque church tower, erected in 1733. The tower is painted a vivid blue and is decorated with stucco and statuary. The entrance to the church is through a triumphal arch which is flanked by statues and over which is a representation of Christ the Redeemer. The church’s magnificent interior contains a dazzling display of white stucco, mellow wooden furnishings and dark umber marble. The sumptuous decoration with statuary and paintings extends to the high altar, pulpit, side altars and cloister.
