The Galerie Menotti was founded in 1988 by Tina Kosak to feature mainly Austrian art produced after the second World War. In 1996 the gallery moved into its present location, the Villa Rainer, which was designed by the prominent Austrian Jugenstil architect Otto Wagner in 1867. Coinciding with the move to the new premises, the gallery expanded its remit to include new media and photography and the work of international artists. The Villa is set in a large park which also serves as a culture garden. There are regular exhibitions and meetings for artists.
